Lock Cylinder Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the door trim panel and water shield.
3. Close the door window.
4. Disconnect the door cylinder lock switch wire connector from the door harness and wiring clips from the inner door impact beam.
5. Remove the outer handle from the door.

6. Disengage the lock tab holding switch to the back of the lock cylinder.
7. Remove the switch from the door handle.

INSTALLATION
1. Snap the switch into place on the lock cylinder.
2. Install the outer door handle.
3. Connect the harness connector to the switch.
4. Route the harness wire to the retainer on the inner door impact beam.
5. Install the door water shield and trim panel.
6. Connect the battery negative cable.
