SYMPTOM
LEFT DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH FAILURE
WHEN MONITORED
Anytime battery voltage is above 10.0 volts and the BCM is awake.
SET CONDITION
The BCM senses a voltage that is lower than 4.9 volts on the driver door key cylinder switch sense circuit for longer than 10 seconds.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Check for an active code
- Check for binding linkage
- Driver door cylinder lock switch
- Driver door key cylinder switch sense circuit shorted to ground
- Body control module
