Ignition Timing Connector: Description and Operation

The Ignition Timing Adjustment Terminal, located in the engine compartment, is used to interrupt the signals to the Control Unit that would otherwise alter the ignition timing or base idle speed. When the terminal is grounded, the Control Unit switches the idle speed control and the ignition timing to adjustment mode.
