Service Procedure





1. Locate the fuse block under the left side of the instrument panel (driver's side) and remove the headlamp fuse (fuse #10). (Fig. 1)





2. Raise the headlamps with the pop-up switch located on the driver's side of the instrument panel. (Fig. 2)





3. Remove the front garnish (2 screws) and the left and right side turn signal lights (2 screws each side). (Fig. 3-A)

Note:
The garnish is also retained with (3) clips. (Fig. 3-B)

To release the garnish from the clips, press down with screwdriver blade on clip center tabs and pull garnish forward. (Fig. 3-C)

The turn signal lights have (2) lower edge bosses inserted in body mounting holes and an outboard boss clipped to the combination light. Pull the turn signal lights up and inboard to disengage the bosses. (Fig. 3-D).





4. Remove the upper and lower headlamp bezels (4 upper and 2 lower screws). (Fig. 4)





5. Remove headlamp housing (4 screws), unplug the wiring connector from the rear of the headlamp and remove the housing and headlamp as an assembly. (Fig. 5)





6. Remove wiring harness front clip "A" and lower the harness along the fog lamp harness. (Fig. 6)

7. Inspect for broken wires at the connector. Repair any broken wires by soldering the wire ends with rosin core solder and wrap with electrical tape. (Fig. 7)





8. Refer to Figure 8, steps (A) through (E) to install jumper cables to the headlamp wiring harnesses.

9. Connect the jumper cable connector to the headlamp.

10. Reinstall the headlamp and housing assembly.

11. Reinstall the upper and lower headlamp bezels.

12. Reinstall the front turn signal lamps and front garnish.

13. Lower headlamps.

14. Reinstall headlamp fuse.

15. Test the headlamps and turn signals for proper operation.
