90chrysler11 No. 470

May, 1990
To: All Dodge, Chrysler-Plymouth and Eagle Dealers

Subject: Emission Recall #470 -- Vacuum Hose Routing Label Replacement

Models: 1990 Model Year Eagle Summit and Plymouth and Dodge Colt Passenger Cars Equipped With a 1.6L DOHC Engine (Federal and California)

A small number of the vehicles listed above were built with an inaccurate vacuum hose routing label which shows two hoses between the throttle body and the thermovalve reversed. Corrected replacement labels must be installed.

Replacement labels are being mailed directly to owners. The owners are requested to install the labels themselves or, if preferred, to arrange for dealer installation of the owner supplied labels without charge.

Details of this service action are explained in the following sections.

Vehicle List

Each dealer to whom involved cars were invoiced (or the current dealer at the same location) will receive a vehicle list with this letter arranged in Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) sequence. Owners known to Chrysler are also listed. The lists are for dealer reference in arranging for service of involved cars.

Each dealer without a Vehicle List will receive an information copy of this letter by Compak Mail for use in performing the service on involved cars upon request.
