Replacing Radial Seal on Input Shaft
Remove transmission. Service and Repair

After completion of work, check transmission oil.

Caution
^ Use only the approved gear oil in the transmission.
^ Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the transmission.

Remove clutch release bearing.





Remove retaining bolts (1) and remove guide tube (2).

Note: the radial seal and guide tube are supplied as an assembly.

Install hint:
Apply tape to the input shaft splines to protect the radial seal during installation.
Lubricate radial seal lip.

Replace guide sleeve retaining bolts.
