Cylinder Bore

TAPER





1. Measure the cylinder bore at the top and bottom.
2. Verify the cylinder bore is within the wear limit.
^ Diameter: 84.8 mm (3.34 inch).

3. Subtract the measurements, the difference indicates the cylinder taper.
^ Taper: 0.013 mm (0.0005 inch).

4. If necessary, bore the cylinder to the next oversize.

OUT-OF-ROUND





1. Measure the cylinder bore in two directions.
2. The difference is the out-of-round.
^ Limit: 0.025 mm (0.001 inch).

3. Verify the out-of-round is within the wear limit and bore the cylinder to the next oversize limit.
