Transmission Range Switch (ATX)

Transmission Range Switch:

Measure the resistance between BK/Y and BK/R wire terminals at the connector leading to the Transmission Range (TR) switch under the following conditions:

Gearshift Lever Position Resistance
Park (P) Less than 5 ohms
Neutral (N) Less than 5 ohms
All Other Positions Greater than 10,000 ohms

If the resistance is not as specified above, replace the TR switch.
