Check Engine Light On / Fault codes 0338, 0342, 2090 or 2094

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicle of the check engine light on together with fault codes 0338, 0342, 2090, and 2094, check the software status from the ME9.7 control module version with DAS and proceed as follows. Read out control module version with DAS: Control units -> Drive -> ME 9.7-Motor electronics 9.7 -> Control unit version

If the ME software is not as shown below, update engine control module software with DAS version 11/06 and AddOn 0669 (or later DAS Release). With DAS version 01/07, please also include AddOn 0673. If the ME software is the same as shown below, no further update is required.

Warning:
- Suction fan runs at high speed during the programming process.
- Connect battery charger.
- Make sure that the diagnostic plug is properly seated in the diagnostic socket.
- The diagnostic connector must remain plugged in to the vehicle.
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- If possible, do not perform any procedures on the vehicle during control unit programming.

NOTE:
After the software flash, perform SCN coding and CVN coding. Refer to Star TekInfo Document S-B-07.61/38i, S-B-58.00/144b or S-B-07.08/43b for the procedure and coding.
