AR72.10-P-1950-03TX Adjustment Of The Preload On The Front Window
Check and adjustment values for front door:
Front Door:
Special Tool:
Check whether crank window (1) makes contact with window seal
1. Move front door to first lock catch
2. Check whether crank window (1) makes contact with window seal (2) all the way around, adjust if necessary
The crank window (1) should make uniform contact with the window seal (2)
Adjust contact between crank window (1) with window seal
3. Open front door and remove covers (3) at bottom of front door
4. Check center position of front window guide rail, adjust if necessary.
The nut (4) should be located in the center of the oblong hole
5. Loosen nut (5) on rear window guide rail.
6. Correspondingly move rear window guide rail from bottom with nut (5) and tighten nut (5)

7.1. Lower crank window (1) to assembly position and check installation position of wedge shim (6) on front clamping jaw (7), correct if necessary.
On vehicles without code (596) Heat insulating glass.
The wedge shim (6) should be offset by one third upward starting from its bottom-most position. If required, loosen bolt (8), move wedge shim (6) and tighten bolt (8) to specified tightening torque.
8.1. Return crank window (1) to upper end position.
On vehicles without code (596) Heat insulating glass.
9. Move front door to first catch position and check whether crank window (1) makes contact with window seal all the way around; repeat adjustment if necessary.
The crank window (1) should make uniform contact with the window seal
10. Open front door, close again and check whether crank window (1) moves into window seal.
The crank window (1) should move easily into the window seal, repeat adjustment if necessary
11. Open front door, tighten nut of front window guide rail and nut on rear window guide rail with specified tightening torque and install covers at bottom of front door
Check transition between crank window (1) and B-pillar cover (9)
12. Check dimension "g" at height of waistline, adjust if necessary

13. Open front door, remove cover (10) and loosen inner bolt from rear window guide.
14. Adjust dimension "g" by moving bolt on rear window guide rail and tighten bolt on rear window guide rail with specified tightening torque.
15. Close front door and recheck dimension "g", repeat adjustment if necessary
16. Open front door and install cover (10).
