GF91.60-P-1100TX Passenger-Side Seat Occupied Recognition Function

GF91.60-P-1100TX Passenger-side seat occupied recognition function
- as of 1.6.05
- except CODE (U18) Automatic child seat recognition (ACSR [AKSE])

Function
By evaluating the foil pressure sensors that are integrated in the front passenger seat occupied recognition system (B41/1), the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) determines the occupancy status of the front passenger seat.

In vehicles up to 31.5.07 the occupancy status is evaluated by the restraint systems control unit in order to decide whether to deploy the relevant restraint equipment.

In vehicles as of 1.6.07 the information about the front passenger seat occupancy status is only used for the seat belt reminder warning.

Optical status indication
The automatic child seat recognition airbag OFF indicator lamp (N72/1e1) in the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) is always switched on for a short time with circuit 15 ON (lamp check). If a front passenger seat is detected as being unoccupied, the automatic child seat recognition airbag OFF indicator lamp is switched off.
