Location
The fuel distribution rail is located above the injection valves.

Design
The injection valves are inserted in the fuel distribution rail with an O-ring and a retaining clamp.

Function
The high-volume fuel distributor rail enables the injection valves to be evenly supplied with fuel under all operating conditions. Fuel pressure fluctuations caused by temporary very large fuel requirements (e.g. abrupt acceleration) are prevented.

The fuel pressure can be tested at the pressure gauge connection via the valve. Prior to any corresponding installation work, the fuel pressure must be reduced at the pressure gauge connection.

The fuel pump delivery must be checked at the fuel feed line.
