GF77.20-P-3004TX Tilting/Sliding Roof Obstruction Sensor, Function
- with CODE (414) Glass electric tilting/sliding roof

Obstruction protection
The tilting/sliding roof is provided with an excessive force limitation to protect against injuries from pinching body limbs. This is active only during automatic closing and convenience closing There by the power consumption of the SR motor (M12m1) is monitored and compared with the reference current stored in the EPROM of the overhead control panel control module (N70) An increased power consumption is evaluated as pinching When pinching is recognized, the tilting/sliding roof is reversed by actuating the SR motor with the overhead control panel control unit, i.e. moved in the opposite direction to that which produced the pinching. If the tilting/sliding roof is in the tilted position, it is moved to the upper tilting stop. The open tilting/sliding roof is opened by 125 mm if it was more than 125 mm away from the rear stop during pinching. If the tilting/sliding roof is closer to the rear stop, it is opened completely. When the Hall sensors fail, it is ensured that the tilting/sliding roof is reversed within t 1 s when it is at least 150 mm from the rear stop. Then the tilting/sliding roof is denormalized, if the Hall sensors are still absent If the tilting/sliding roof is near the rear limit stop it will be switched off immediately since no mechanical load may be placed on the stop.

If the excess force limiter is faulty, automatic opening/closing of the tilting/sliding roof is not possible.
