GF77.20-P-2002TX Close Tilting/Sliding Roof, Function
GF77.20-P-2002TX Close Tilting/Sliding Roof, Function
- with CODE (414) Power glass tilting/sliding roof
Manually close with roof switch (N70s1)
Function requirements
^ Circuit 15 "ON"
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage
^ 5 min. after terminal 15 "OFF", with front doors not yet opened (delay time) and vehicle not locked from outside
^ Overhead control panel control module (N70) recognizes non-actuated state (roof switch not actuated for longer than 40 ms) before the roof switch is actuated
Function
The status of the EIS control unit (N73) is transmitted by the overhead control panel control unit via the controller area network bus class B (interior compartment) CAN-B)
An adjustment request via the roof switch to the SR motor (M12m1) is only performed, if circuit 15 "ON" is recognized on the EIS control unit. When the roof system switch is pressed toward front to the 1st catch, the adjustment is accomplished until the desired position or the end stop is reached.
Obstruction sensor is not effective during manual adjustment
The "Open sliding roof" function is limited in the denormalized state, actuation is only possible for a short time. Release and then press switch again to reactuate
Automatically lock with roof switch
Function requirements
^ Circuit 15 "ON"
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage
^ 5 min. after terminal 15 "OFF", with front doors not yet opened (delay time) and vehicle not locked from outside
^ Overhead control panel control module recognizes non-actuated state (roof switch not actuated for longer than 40 ms) before the roof switch is actuated
^ Tilting/sliding roof normalized
Function
The status of the EIS control unit is transmitted to the overhead control panel control unit via CAN interior. An adjustment request via the roof switch to the SR motor is only performed, if circuit 15 "ON" is recognized on the EIS control unit. When the roof system switch is pressed toward front beyond the 1st catch, adjustment is performed until the limit stop is reached.
The obstruction sensor is always effective on automatic lock operations.
The automatic function is interrupted when the roof switch is pressed again
Closing with air recirculation switch (N22s2) (except code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) or air recirculation switch (N22/7s2) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) (except vehicles as of model year 09 /J08 with code (494) USA version or code (460) Canada version)
Function requirements
^ Circuit 15 "ON"
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage
^ Previously open tilting/sliding roof via recirculated air switch
Aborting the function
^ Tilting/sliding roof denormalization
^ Roof switch actuation
^ Blockage detection
^ Failure of CAN message (CAN = Controller Area Network).
^ Actuation of excess force limiter
Function
When the air recirculation switch is pressed for t > 1.5 s, the adjustment request is transmitted via the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) (except code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) or comfort AAC control and operating unit (N22/7) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) in the "closing" direction as CAN message to the left front door control unit (N69/1), right front door control unit (N69/2), left rear door control unit (N69/3), right rear door control unit (N69/4) and overhead control panel control unit. When the "Close" message is received by the air recirculation switch, the tilting/sliding roof and the windows in the front and rear doors are actuated in the "Close" direction until the end position is reached.
If "Open" is started with the air recirculation switch before reaching the end position during a closing operation, the opening position stored initially remains stored
Closing with transmitter key (A8/1)
Function requirements
^ Circuit 15C, circuit 15R and circuit 15 "OFF"
^ Voltage not to high or too low
Abort conditions
^ Function requirements are not satisfied
^ Drive lock-up recognition
^ Actuation request is rescinded
^ Absence of CAN message for t >50 ms
^ Tilting/sliding roof denormalization
Function
When the "Lock" button the transmitter key is actuated for a longer period of time, the left front IR Receiver unit (A26/1) or right front IR receiver unit (A26/2) (only vehicles with code (494) USA version or code (498) Japan version) transmit the corresponding closing request to the corresponding front door control unit.
The right front IR receiver unit is installed only in the USA and Japan version
The EIS control unit signals its status to the door control units and to the overhead control panel control unit. When the key is removed, the power windows and the SR motor are actuated moving them to the end stop. Moreover, after checking the function requirements, the seat ventilation receives the "Terminate" command. On vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go closing is only possible with the buttons in the door handles of the driver and passenger door
Convenience closing can also be performed with non-normalized windows. If the tilting/sliding roof is denormalized, this possibility is no longer possible.
If the button on the transmitter key is released during this operation, it stops immediately. A new command can only be accomplished after checking the function requirements.
