Function
An electric motors drives the hydraulic pump. It is switched on and off as required by the soft top actuation control module (N52).
The soft top actuation control module (N52) controls the corresponding solenoid valves and the individual hydraulic cylinders for extending and retracting the soft top can be pressurized separately.

Manual bleeding
The bleed valve attached to the soft top actuation valve block can be opened with an Allen wrench (included in vehicle tool kit) before manual actuation of the soft top (approx. 2 turns)The soft top can then be moved out of the soft top compartment manually.

Replacement of the motor, solenoid valves and relays in the soft top actuation hydraulic unit (A7/5) is not foreseen.
