Tilting/Sliding Roof Denormalization
Denormalized state
The positian of the SR[SHD] is not known. It can be moved in two directions, but only by using the "open sliding roof" and "open tilting roof " buttons of the roof system switch (N70s1). Closing is no longer possible using the roof system switch (N70s1) because it cannot definitely identify the direction of motor rotation. To indicate that it is denormalized and to avoid strain on the mechanical limit stop in the "sliding roof open" position. the roof is actuated in the "open sliding roof" direction for approx. 0.3 sec, after which the roof system switch (N70s1) must again be pressed in the "open sliding roof" direction.
Denormalization
Denormalization occurs in the following cases:
1. There is undervoltage or overvoltage at the overhead control panel control module (N70)
2. The tilting/sliding roof exceeds the defined travel area by 5 motor rotations
3. One of the two Hall sensor signals is absent for t > 160 ms
4. Both Hall sensor signals are absent for t > 160 ms even after the roof is reversed
5. The defined Hall sensor signal sequence is faulty
6. A malfunction is detected in the excess force limiter (EFL [UKB] obstruction sensor)
NOTE: When denormalized/the tilting/sliding roof function is restricted. It can now only be opened as described above.
