AR77.30-P-1002KA Remove/Install Soft Top







DANGER:
- Risk of injury Mechanism can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities.
- No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when moving components.
- Risk of injury to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning from swallowing hydraulic fluid.
- Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and eye protection.
- Injury hazard from rollover bar extending
- Extend rollover bar before working in the area of the rollover bar.


1 Remove side paneling in left and right rear.
2 Close soft top

NOTE: Leave soft top bow and soft top compartment cover in upright position

3 Unscrew mounting screws (1) from main bearing

NOTE: To facilitate assembly mark position of main bearing on bearing plates.

Screw for soft top main bearing on body bearing plate - 20 N.m

4 Expose hydraulic line

NOTE: For this purpose loosen heated rear window (W13), unhook control cable (2) from main bearing

5 Disconnect soft top open/close switch group connector (S84/13x1) and soft top bow down/up limit switch connector (S84/15x1)
6 Lift soft top until hydraulic cylinder are accessible
7 Remove hydraulic cylinders from soft top bow and soft top frame from main bearing

CAUTION: Lay hydraulic cylinders down to side with leads connected

NOTE: See
- Removing and installing hydraulic cylinder for soft top bow
- Removing and installing hydraulic cylinder for soft top frame

8 Remove soft top.

9 Install in the reverse order

CAUTION: Check adjustment of soft top, correct if necessary refer to Gaps on hoods, doors and lids.

Gap
Soft top to windshield frame: Dimension "S": 12 ± 2.0 mm
Cover to top compartment cover: Dimension "W": 5 ± 3.0 mm
