Tilting/Sliding Roof Normalization

Function

NOTE: Normalization must be performed whenever denormalization has occurred.

Performing normalization
Open the tilting roof with the roof system switch (N70s1) as far as the mechanical limit stop and continue to press the switch. The overhead control panel control module (N70) continues to actuate the motor and resets the position counter to zero when it detects that the motor is locked up for at least 0.5s. Before reaching the end stop position a minimum of 3 pulse edges must be detected on each Hall sensor.

Normalization cannot be performed using the "convenience opening", "convenience closing" and "automatic opening/closing" functions because these are inoperative in the denormalized state.

The tilting/sliding roof is now in the normalized state. This means that during automatic opening and closing of the tilting/sliding roof, the overhead control panel control module (N70) can now cut off the motor before the mechanical limit stop is reached.
