Tilting/Sliding Roof Lock-Up Recognition

The overhead control panel control module (N70) receives voltage pulses from the two Hall sensors at the roof system motor (M12m1) and uses this data for position measurement.

If no Hall sensor pulses are received for more than 0.2 seconds despite actuation of the tilting/sliding roof, the drive is switched off.

A lock-up in the lift mechanism will furthermore cause denormalization to occur. A mechanical thermal circuit breaker on the roof system motor (M12m1) will continue to provide overload protection. If no signal is received from the Hall sensors, the roof can only be closed in increments of t = 160 ms by means of the roof system switch (N70s1), or alternatively by using the emergency crank.
