A. Removal of Pressure Relief Valve/ORVR Components

DANGER!
Fuel or fuel vapors may be present, risk of explosion and/or injury:

^ Wear protective clothing and eye protection.

^ NO open flames/sparks, heat emitting equipment in work area.

^ Refer also to WIS AS47.00-Z-0001-01A for additional safety information.





1. Remove fuel pump cover (A, Figure 1).

2. Remove pressure relief valve:





^ Remove overflow hose (A, Figure 2) from mounting clip (arrow).





^ Remove nuts (arrows, Figure 3) securing pressure relief valve bracket (A) to body.

^ Loosen hose clamp (B), separate vent hose (C) from vent pipe fitting.

Remove pressure relief valve (D).

3. Remove activated charcoal canister and shut-off valve as an assembly:

^ Remove nuts (arrows, Figure 4) securing shut-off valve bracket (A) to body.





^ Disconnect harness connector (arrow, Figure 5) from shut-off valve (A).





^ Loosen nut (arrow, Figure 6), remove clamp (A) securing shut-off valve vent line (B) to body.

^ Loosen hose clamp (C), disconnect vent hose (D) from fuel tank fitting.





^ Loosen clamp (arrow, Figure 7), separate vent hose (B) from vent line (A).






^ Loosen clamp (arrow, Figure 8), separate vent hose (A) from vent pipe fitting (B).

^ Remove charcoal canister and shut-off valve.

Note:
If vehicle is equipped with a CD changer proceed to step 4. If not equipped with changer proceed to step 5.





4. Remove CD changer (20, Figure 9):

^ Remove mounting screws (24).

^ Disconnect fiber optic cable and power supply harness.

^ Remove CD changer (20).

^ Remove mounting bracket (26).

Note:
Refer to WIS CD changer installation instructions (WIS; AZ82.64-P-0001-05F) for additional information.

5. Remove inner trunk panels (WIS; AR68.30-P-4800G).

6. Remove fuel tank (WIS; AR47.10-P-4100GA).





7. Remove ORVR vent pipe (B, Figure 10):

^ Loosen clamp (arrow), separate vent hose (A) from vent pipe (B) and remove hose (A).

Note:
Ensure vent hose (A) is not damaged during removal, it will be reinstalled in step 1 of subject B.

^ Loosen nut (C) and remove hold down clamp (D).





^ Remove nut (A, Figure 11), pull vent pipe (B) out of grommets (arrows) and remove pipe (B) by pulling out from behind speaker (C [toward left of trunk]).
