Positive Crankcase Ventilation: Service and Repair

PRECEDING WORK
Front covers removed.
Guide rails (4) and (6) an cylinder heads removed.
Camshaft adjuster of left inlet camshaft removed,

PROCEDURES





Ventilation pipe (5) at camshaft bearing cap:
Unbolt
Bolt on (21 Nm).
Ventilation pipe (5):
Turn to the front and remove upward
Install.
Gasket (5a):
Replace according to condition.

TIGHTENING TORQUE






NOTE:





The gasket (5a) seals the ventilation pipe (5) of the crankcase ventilation to the ventilation chamber with oil separator; see function of crankcase ventilation.
