Selector Lever Position Information

Task
Recognizing selector lever positions P and N or gear engaged.

Design/function
The ETC or FTC control module recognizes selector lever position P and N by means of a contact in the transmission, the selector lever position by means of the transmission range recognition switch and kickdown by means of the kickdown switch. All the information is transmitted to the engine control module over the CAN databus.
