When the backrest is folded back to the rear while the seat is moving forward, the ESA control module recognizes that the left front seatback release microswitch (S91/3) has opened. The control module stops the seat for/aft motor (M27m1) and moves the seat back toward the rear. The same applies in the opposite direction.
This direction reversal can be accomplished a maximum of three times in sequence. It is then necessary for the seat to move to one of the end positions once.
