Convertible Top Pump: Service and Repair



AR77.37-P-1000KA Remove/Install Soft Top Hydraulic Pump







Removing

DANGER:
- Risk of injury Mechanism can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities.
- No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when moving components.
- Risk of injury to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning from swallowing hydraulic fluid.
- Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and eye protection..
- Injury hazard from rollover bar extending
- Extend rollover bar before working in rollover bar area


1 Remove rear mounting wall
2 Disconnect electrical connectors (1) from hydraulic unit
3 Unscrew mounting screws (2)
4 Unscrew screws (3) from connection plate (4)

CAUTION: Hydraulic system should not be under pressure

5 Pull hydraulic lines (5) out of hydraulic pump separately
6 Remove hydraulic lines (5) together with connection plate (4)

CAUTION: Plug hydraulic lines.

7 Remove hydraulic pump

Installing
8 Install hydraulic pump
9 Position hydraulic lines (5) with connection plate (4)
10 Unscrew screws (3) from connection plate (4)

Screw of connection plate to hydraulic unit - 10 N.m

11 Screw screws (2) into hydraulic pump mount
12 Connect connector (1) for hydraulic unit line
13 Check oil level of hydraulic system

NOTE: if necessary add oil through oil filler screw.


Oil filler screw on hydraulic unit supply reservoir - 2 N.m

14 Check for leakage and proper function
15 Bleed hydraulic system
16 Install rear mounting wall
