202 589 17 63 00 Straight cutter, blade length 35 mm
124 589 21 63 00 cutting blade

References (WH), Commercially available tools

1 Clean painted adhesive surfaces on body flange with cleaner from repair kit and rub dry with clean, lent-free rag.
2 Cut glue residues off of body flange with cutting blade (124 589 21 63 00).

NOTE: On model 170, rear window with Vario roof, use cutting blade (202 589 17 63 00).

3 If glue residues on body flange are damaged or missing, apply primer in gluing area with felt brush.
4 Coat damaged spots in paint on body flange, which will not be covered by glue, with primer.
5 If more than 24 hours have elapsed since cutting through the glue bead, it is also necessary to apply primer to the glue residue on the body flange.

NOTE: To avoid poor adhesion when installing windows ensure that gluing surfaces on body flange are free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other anti-adhesive substances or dirt residues.

NOTE: Do not leave more than 1 mm. Pull off loose glue (residues not completely cut off).

NOTE: Allow primer to air-dry for at least 5 minutes.
