Cranking Engine Using A Remote Starter Button
- Take off left cover over EZL ignition control unit.
- Unplug crankshaft position sensor (L5) at EZL ignition control unit (N1/3).
- Crank engine in idle speed position and with parking brake applied using ignition starter switch (S2/1).
- Read and erase fault memory of EZL ignition control unit (N1/3), refer to Powertrain Management, Computers and Control Systems, System Diagnosis. Testing and Inspection
NOTE: If the engine is started with the crankshaft position sensor (L5) unplugged, a fault is stored in the EZL ignition control unit (N13) fault memory (contact 17, pulse readout 17). This must be erased after completing the work,
