Boost Pressure Control Valve Task/Design/Function
Design
Task
Controlling boost pressure
Operation
The boost pressure control valve is closed by the boost pressure control vacuum transducer (Y31/5) through the vacuum unit (110/10), as a result of which the exhaust gases are passed to the turbine wheel (g). The bypass flap (a) is actuated by the control linkage (b). When the bypass flap is open, no precompression occurs and the engine operates as a naturally aspirated engine.
