A. Preliminary Procedures For Installation of Babysmart(TM)ACSR
Procedure:1. Check SRS control module (N2/2) part number using HHT.
Note:
All vehicles with a production date of 5/97 or earlier will require replacement of SRS control modules together with side airbag sensors of the same manufacturer. The only exception is if the SRS control module has previously been replaced with a Bosch or Temic unit listed below. This can be verified in the control module version screen of the HHT. In this case, the side airbag sensors will still need to be visually inspected to verify the part no., as the part no. cannot be read with the HHT. Only the combinations of Bosch SRS control modules with Bosch side air bag sensors or Temic SRS control module with Temic side airbag sensors listed below are valid.
Description Part Number
Bosch SRS control module (N2/2) 001 820 08 26
Bosch side airbag sensors (A53, A54) 001 820 07 26
Bosch side airbag sensor as of 9/96 (A53, A54) 001 820 19 26
Temic SRS control module (N2/2) 001 820 21 26
Temic side airbag sensors (A53, A54) 000 820 99 26
