Remove/Install Side Wall Panelling In Rear

Rear side window
open.

Door entry strip (1)
remove upward.

Screws in chrome molding (2)
screw out (3 each) and remove chrome molding.

Door edge protector (3)
pull off.

Cover above bolt or seat belt end fitting (4)
press off and screw out bolt, 17 mm, 35 Nm.

Trimming (5)
unclip at top with plastic wedge and remove trimming (5), insert tab at front when installing.

Screws (arrows)
screw out and remove.

Seat belt guide (6) on seat belt extender
pull off of rack toward front; for this purpose extend seat belt extender and pull off seat belt guide from rack stop.

Side wall panelling (7)
pull out of insert groove starting at front top, remove side wall panelling while guiding belt end fitting through.

Reinstall
in opposite order.

Function
check.


Installation note





Before installing the side wall panelling (7), check clips (arrows) on interior panel, window shaft and bottom front of B-pillar.


Removal
1 Open rear side window.
2 Remove door entry strip (1) upward.
3 Remove screws (3 each) from chrome molding (2) and remove chrome molding.
4 Remove door edge protector (3) on B-pillar.
5 Press cover off of bolt on seat belt end fitting (4) and screw out bolt (17 mm). Tightening torque: 35 Nm.










6 Unclip trimming (5) at top with plastic wedge (arrows) and remove trimming.






7 Screw out screws (arrows).






8 Extend seat belt extender and pull seat belt guide (6) off of rack toward front.










9 Pull side wall panelling out of clips (3 each) on window shaft.
10 Remove side wall panelling; guide seat belt end fitting (4) and seat belt guide (6) through.
11 Reinstall in opposite order. Observe installation note.
