Remove/Install Fuse/Relay Box From 12/01/94




As Of 12/01/94 Up To 8/31/96


Fuse And Relax Box Sedans As Of 1.12.94 Up To 31.8.96:






Removal, installation
1 Disconnect ground lead from battery
2 Remove cover on fuse box (1)


NOTE: Check gasket for damage


3 Unscrew screws (2)
4 Remove relay box cover (3)


NOTE: Check gasket for damage


5 Unscrew screw (4)
6 Remove fuse blocks (A-E)


NOTE: Pry out carrier for fuse blocks and relays (6) as far as possible and then press clamping springs on carrier outward


7 Disconnect leads to fuse boxes or fuse blocks
Refer to Special Tool below


CAUTION: Disconnect leads only when replacing entire fuse and relay box. To prevent mix-ups, tie disconnected leads from individual fuse boxes or blocks together and mark


Reconnect leads to fuse boxes or fuse blocks
Assignments and lead connections to fuse blocks

8 Disconnect all relays


NOTE: Relay holder assignment


9 Remove exterior lamp failure monitoring module


NOTE: For this purpose release catch strap


10 Remove carrier for fuse blocks and relays (6)
11 Unclip connectors at bottom of relay holder or carrier.
12 Remove connectors for exterior lamp failure monitoring module
Install connectors for exterior lamp failure monitoring module

13 Unscrew nuts (7)
14 Remove fuse and relay box (F1)


NOTE: Check gasket for damage


15 Reinstall in opposite order
