F23 Module box
M2/2 Module box blower motor

The blower motor (M2/2) for cooling the control modules in the module box is switched on and off by the temperature sensor in the basic module N16/1. The blower motor is located in the blower box of the car heating system.

The required cooling air is drawn from the interior in the area of the glove box and routed into the blower box of the car heating system.

The blower motor (M2/2) is switched on:
1. For 1.5 seconds each time the engine is started if an engine speed of 1200 rpm is exceeded.
2. If the temperature in the module box is above 60 °C (engines 104, 119, 603) or above 55 °C (engine 120).

The blower motor (M2/2) is switched off:
1. At a temperature below 55 °C (engines 104, 119, 603) or below 50 °C (engine 120).

If a limit temperature (approx. 70 °C) is exceeded when driving despite the blower motor (M2/2) being switched on, this is stored as fault 5 in the diagnosis of the basic module N16/1).
