Electronic Throttle Actuator: Service and Repair
Air Flow Sensor (B2/2) Replacement:
AIR FILTER HOUSING/AIR FLOW SENSOR
1. Remove air filter housing.
2. Turn ignition OFF.
3. Remove air mass meter el. connector (B2/2x1).
4. Loosen hose clamps (32).
5. Remove air mass sensor (B2/2)
6. Check/replace connection hose (31).
7. Install in reverse order. Pay attention to the following:
a. When installing connection hose (31), hose guide (arrow) must face air flow sensor.
b. Check for fault codes which may have been caused by the detached cable. Clear and reset fault code memory as needed.
Replacing Throttle Assembly:
EA OR CC/ISC ACTUATOR W/ THROTTLE VALVE
1. Remove air filter housing/air flow sensor as described above.
2. Detach throttle valve control linkage at throttle assembly (M16/1)
3. Remove throttle valve assembly el. connector.
4. Remove screws (38).
5. Remove throttle valve assembly.
6. Clean sealing surface and replace gasket (36).
7. Install in reverse order. Torque screws (38) to:
25 Nm (18.45 ft. lb.)
8. Install air filter housing/air flow sensor as described above.
