Shift Solenoid: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The switchover valve (Y3/3) controls the vacuum to the control pressure cable element.

OPERATION
The CIS-E control unit controls the switchover valve. When the valve is energized, manifold vacuum reaches the pressure cable vacuum element and delays the transmission upshift point.
