Manual Bleeding

1. Remove all bubbles from tandem main cylinder by stepping down fully on brake pedal at least three times while bleeding, with bleed screws of brake pedal opened.

2. Attach bleeder tube to the bleeder valve. Allow tube to hang, submerged in brake fluid, in a clear glass jar.

3. Fully depress the brake pedal and open the bleeder valve.

4. Close the bleeder valve and slowly retract the brake pedal, so that enough brake fluid is drawn from expansion tank during piston return stroke.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until clear brake fluid, free of bubbles, emerges from bleed hose.

6. Fill the expansion tank with DOT 4 type brake fluid up to "maximum" mark.

7. To replace brake fluid, pump empty or draw fluid out of expansion tank down to a fluid level of approximately 10 mm.
NOTE: Do not empty expansion tank completely, so that no air can enter the brake system.

8. Fill expansion tank with fresh brake fluid up to "maximum" mark. Pump old brake fluid out of each brake caliper approximately 10 pump strokes. Top off brake fluid.
NOTE: The brake fluid flowing out through vent hose must be free of bubbles.
