Intake Manifold: Description and Operation

Intake System:

The tuned intake air plenum delivers measured air along with certain amounts of EGR gases and captured fuel tank vapors to the engine combustion chamber to be burned. Because of its larger volume and special shape for full air funnel flow horsepower is increased over a broader RPM range and the engine has better response when the throttle valve is opened abruptly.
