TRUNK LID NOT FLUSH WITH BODY AFTER CLOSING
TRUNK LID NOT UNLOCKING WITH CENTRAL LOCKING
The Work Instructions (W.I. 88/271) are a preliminary version of Service Microfiche 2551-02, Body-assembly jobs, model 140 and should be used when diagnosing and or repairing customer complaints. Only those procedures which reflect the customer complaint(s) are to be performed.
1. Check trunk lid in closed position for flush fit and alignment with rear fenders.
2. If trunk lid is not flush with rear fenders when closed, an adjustment or alignment of the trunk lid may be necessary. Please refer to Work Instructions 271, Group 88 for proper adjustment procedures.
3. If adjustment and/or alignment of the trunk lid does not solve the problem, replacement of the trunk lid latch mechanism may be necessary. Please refer to attached Work Instructions 271, Group 88 for respective replacement procedures.
