EXCHANGE 4-MATIC TRANSFER CASE VG3O

On all exchange 4-MATIC transfer cases VG3O, as of the effective serial number shown, the transmission housing sealing surface for piston AV and piston ZS radial seal ring is reworked. As a result, a modified piston AV and piston ZS radial seal ring (of different inner and outside diameter) is required.





The modified piston AV and piston ZS radial seal rings are identified via a white paint dot as well as by part number suffix "/55" (arrows, Figure 1).





The modified exchange 4-MATIC transfer case VG3O, is identified via an engraved "N" (arrows, Figure 2).

^ A modified piston AV and piston ZS inner and outer radial seal ring must be used when reassembling the modified exchange 4-MATIC transfer case VG3O identified with an engraved "N".
