CONVERSION FROM SINGLE TO DOUBLE ROLLER TIMING CHAIN

Effective immediately, the single roller chain will no longer be available. Instead, when replacement of the single roller timing chain becomes necessary, or the engine is disassembled for other reasons, the engine will have to be retrofitted to a double roller timing chain.

A set of copies of S.I. MBNA 05/1 (published February 1985) and W.I. # 164 outlining the conversion procedures are included for your information.

Any possible inventory of the single roller timing chain, part no. 001 997 68 94, should be returned by March 29, 1991 to your PDC for credit.
