Procedures

REMOVING, INSTALLING, DISMANTLING AND ASSEMBLING FLOOR SHIFT.

Removing and Installing





1. Remove retaining clip (49) and detach shift rod (10).
2. Remove/install wooden covering on shift lever and center console.





3. Pull bulb out of housing and, in vehicles with selector lever position "B" and with "S" and "E" programs, disconnect plug from switch.
4. Release cable(s) for parking lock at floor shift.
5. Unscrew retaining screws (6) and remove floor shift.

Installation Note
When installing, place sealing insert on floor shift and push through the retaining screws.





6. Install in the reverse sequence.
7. Align selector lever (2) so that the bend (arrow) points forwards and the molding seam in the foam (top view in drawing) runs exactly along the longitudinal direction in the vehicle.
8. Tighten lock nut (12).

Dismantling and assembling





Covering (3)
Unclip, clip on.
Shift lever (2)
Remove, install; slacken lock nut (12).
Sliding switch (27), cover (9), display (7a), cover strip (8), switch for selector lever position "B" (8-cylinder) if present holder (28), sliding switch (27), cup (25) and sliding switch for "S" and "E" programs (28)
Remove and install one after the other.
Fork head (13) with double-spiral spring (14)
Remove and install; press off locking device (16), remove bearing pin (17) and take off plastic busings (15).
Seal (22)
Push out push in.
Shaft (18) and bushes (21)
Remove, install; remove clip (19) and washers (20, 20a).
Bushes (21)
Check for wear, lubricate with long-term lubricant. Long-term 2 or Olistamoly 2.
