Non Turbo

1. Check throttle linkage for binding or kinks. Lubricate and/or repair as needed.
2. Check lever of the injection pump to see that it is resting against the idle speed stop. If it is not, adjust the throttle. If it is, proceed to step 3.
3. With the engine off, depress the accelerator pedal until it rests against the stop or kickdown switch. Check to see that the lever is resting against the full load throttle stop. If the lever is resting against the throttle stop, the linkage is properly adjusted and the test is over. If it does not rest against the throttle stop, adjust the throttle linkage.
