Firewall/Brake Booster - Modified Mount

MODIFIED BRAKE BOOSTER MOUNT ON FIREWALL MODEL 126 AND 107





As of September 1985, the brake booster mount on the firewall has been modified (Figure 1).

In the event of collision repair on vehicles built prior to production phase-in, the previous version firewall should be used up before installing the modified version.

Before installing the modified version in vehicles built prior to production phase-in, the following modification to the brake booster mount must be performed if the existing brake booster is to be reinstalled.

Procedure





1. Grind down heads of bolts in brake booster mount from inside vehicle and remove bolts from firewall (Figure 2).

2. File the two existing holes in the firewall to match the two elongated holes in the firewall reinforcement plate (Figure 1).

3. Reinstall brake booster.
