Oil Pump: Service and Repair

- Remove timing cover, refer to Timimng Case Cover.
- Remove the oil suction pipe with strainer.
^ Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft lbs)
^ Always replace gasket (12).
- Remove the oil pump cover.
^ Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft lbs)
^ Always replace O-ring (10).
- Remove oil pump gears from front cover.

Caution: Oil pump gears can only be replaced as a pair.

- Remove oil pump drive sleeve, if necessary.
^ If drive sleeve cannot be removed manually, remove crankshaft sprocket together with the sleeve.
- Reverse procedure to install.
