Valve Guide: Service and Repair

- Clean valve guide bores.
- If oversize valve guides must be installed, hone the bore with the applicable hand reamers and broaches.
- Clean the bore, then cool valve guide in liquid nitrogen for three minutes or heat cylinder head in water to approximately 80°C (176°F).
- Lubricate valve guide and install using a knock-in plug until circlip seats against cylinder head.
