Compressor Clutch: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove a/c relay (code 12).
2. Start engine.
3. Bridge terminal 1 and 3 of five pin socket.

The compressor clutch should engage.

4. If clutch does not engage, bridge the low pressure switch plug.
- If the clutch does not engage, check the power and ground circuit for the clutch. SEE Diagrams. Compressor Clutch Repair as necessary.
- If the wiring is OK, replace the electro-magnetic clutch.
