Bearing Replacement

Removal
1. Remove A/C compressor.
2. Remove clutch assembly.

A/C Compressor Clutch Removed:





3. Bend away locks on hex. screws and take off the 6 screws (8) together with locks.

A/C Compressor Clutch Disassembled:





4. Take off belt pulley from clutch and remove magnet coil from belt pulley.

5. Place clutch (3) on wooden supports and press out bearing (6). For removal of bearing, notches need to be removed (arrow).

Installation
1. Align new bearing (6) exactly center in bore of hub and press-in.
2. Punch-mark the bearing at three points at 120° distance from each other. Do not punch to deep as outer race of bearing may be damaged. Do not reuse old notches.
3. Insert magnet coil (9) into belt pulley (7).
4. Insert clutch (3) into belt pulley (7) and screw in new locks and screws (8) coating new screws with Loctite.
5. Install clutch assembly.
6. Install compressor.
