Removal and installation of bottom instrument panel cover

Note: Fastening of cover under instrument panel has been modified in September 1979. Pay attention to different version during removal.


Removal (1st version)




1 Remove screw on front wall pillar.




2 Remove screw at bottom heater outlet opening.




3 Pull cover down and out of instrument panel.


Removal (2nd version)




1 Turn fastening plug at front pillar by 90° and pull out. Use dash mark on head of fastening plug for checkup during rotation.




2 Turn fastening plug at lower heater outlet opening by 90° and pull out.




3 Push out the three caps at bottom on instrument panel.




4 Unscrew fastening screws and remove cover.


Installation




5 Attach cover into front wall insulation at front first.
6 For further installation proceed vice-versa.
