Front Door Window Motor: Testing and Inspection





POWER WINDOW MOTOR INSPECTION

Driver Side

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the following parts:
a. Driver-side inner garnish Inner Garnish Removal/Installation

b. Driver-side front door trim Front Door Trim Removal/Installation

c. Driver-side front door speaker Front Door Speaker Removal/Installation

d. Driver-side front power window motor Service and Repair

3. Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to the driver-side power window motor terminals E and F, and then inspect the driver-side power window motor operation.











- If not as indicated in the table, replace the driver-side power window motor. Service and Repair





4. Connect the battery positive voltage to driver-side power window motor terminal D and connect terminal C to ground.

5. Operate the driver-side power window motor and measure the voltage at terminals A and B.

- If there is any malfunction, replace the driver-side power window motor. Service and Repair

Voltage
- Pulse: max. 5 V/min. 0 V

Passenger Side

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the following parts:
a. Passenger-side inner garnish Inner Garnish Removal/Installation

b. Passenger-side front door trim Front Door Trim Removal/Installation

c. Passenger-side front door speaker Front Door Speaker Removal/Installation

d. Passenger-side power window motor Service and Repair

3. Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to the passenger-side power window motor terminals, and then inspect the passenger-side power window motor operation.











- If not as indicated in the table, replace the passenger-side power window motor. Service and Repair
