Removal and Replacement





OIL COOLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FS5A-EL]

WARNING:
- Do not perform the servicing while the ATF is hot. Otherwise, it could cause severe burns or serious injury.
- Always wear protective eye wear when using the air compressor. If the air compressor is used, any particles of dirt or soiling could spatter and get into the eyes.

NOTE:
- After removing the oil cooler, check for dirt or foreign objects mixed into the ATF and flush the oil cooler if necessary.

1. Remove the battery cover. Removal and Replacement

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Remove the air cleaner component. Service and Repair

4. Remove the aerodynamic under cover. Service and Repair

5. Drain the ATF. Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) Replacement

6. Drain the engine coolant. Service and Repair

7. Remove in the order shown in the figure.

8. Install in the reverse order of removal.

9. Add engine coolant. Service and Repair

10. Add ATF. Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) Replacement

11. Perform the mechanical system test. Mechanical System Test









Oil Hose Installation Note

Oil cooler side

1. Install the oil hose to the position shown in the figure.






- Verify that the installation angle of the oil hose is within the range shown in the figure.

2. Install the hose clamp to the position shown in the figure.






1 Verify that the hose clamp is within the marked area of the oil hose.
2 Verify that the installation angle of the hose clamp is within the range shown in the figure.

3. Verify that the hose clamp does not interfere with surrounding the accessories.

NOTE:
- If the oil hose is to be re-used, install the hose clamp to the impression in the hose left by the previous installation. After installation, apply force to the hose clamp in the direction of the arrows to engage the hose clamp securely.





Connector bolt side

1. Install the oil hose to the position shown in the figure.






- Verify that the installation angle of the oil hose is within the range shown in the figure.

2. Install the hose clamp to the position shown in the figure.






- Verify that the hose clamp is within the marked area of the oil hose.
- Verify that the installation angle of the hose clamp is within the range shown in the figure.

3. Verify that the hose clamp does not interfere with surrounding the accessories.

NOTE:
- If the oil hose is to be re-used, install the hose clamp to the impression in the hose left by the previous installation. After installation, apply force to the hose clamp in the direction of the arrows to engage the hose clamp securely.
