STEERING ANGLE SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE

NOTE:
- If any of the following items have been performed, perform the steering angle sensor initialization.

- The negative battery cable is disconnected
- Battery replacement
- A fuse (ROOM) is removed
- Main fuse replacement
- The steering angle sensor connector is disconnected
- Steering angle sensor replacement
- BCM connector is disconnected
- BCM replacement

1. Inspect the wheel alignment, the tire pressure, and the steering wheel installation condition.

- If there is any malfunction, adjust the applicable part.

2. Start the engine.

3. Turn the steering wheel left and right until it locks.
NOTE:
- The steering wheel can be turned first to the left or right.
- If the steering wheel is turned in the opposite direction before it locks, the correct steering angle will not be stored in memory.

4. Switch the ignition OFF (LOCK).
