Body Control Module (BCM) Removal/Installation
BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
CAUTION:
- When replacing the BCM, always perform the configuration procedure before removing the BCM. Replacing the BCM without performing the configuration procedure will result in a system malfunction.
1. When replacing the BCM, perform the configuration. Body Control Module (BCM) Configuration
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the following parts:
a. Dashboard under cover (passenger's side) Dashboard Under Cover Removal/Installation
b. Glove compartment Service and Repair
c. Side wall Side Wall Removal/Installation
d. Center console box Center Console Box Removal/Installation
e. Console panel Console Panel Removal/Installation
f. Center console Center Console Removal/Installation
g. Shift lever knob (MTX) Service and Repair
h. Selector lever knob (ATX) Automatic Transaxle Shift Mechanism Removal/Installation
i. Shift panel Shift Panel Removal/Installation
j. Front console Front Console Removal/Installation
k. Side panel Side Panel Removal/Installation
l. Front scuff plate (passenger's side) Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation
m. Front side trim (passenger's side) Front Side Trim Removal/Installation
n. Lower panel (passenger's side) Lower Panel Removal/Installation
4. Disconnect the connector shown in the figure.
5. Remove the wiring harness clip and connector clip shown in the figure.
6. Remove the wiring harness clip shown in the figure.
7. Remove the wiring harness clip shown in the figure.
8. Disconnect the connectors shown in the figure.
9. Remove the nuts shown in the figure.
10. Remove the BCM.
11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
12. Perform steering angle sensor initialization. Programming and Relearning
